A guide to the listings

How to read a list of websites for sale.

Buying an established website is a bit like buying a flat — the square metres matter, but so does who did the wiring. Before you look at the details of a website, here is what is worth paying attention to.

A website with a history is not a blank page

Every website on this list is already online, has visitors and, in most cases, a position on Google that a brand-new website would need months, maybe years, to fight for. That is the biggest difference between buying an established website and commissioning a new one from scratch: you are not waiting for Google to notice you, you are continuing a story that has already begun, with visitors who already know the way. Buying an established website makes sense for anyone who wants to skip the slowest and most uncertain part — those first months without a single visitor.

Who actually built the website

Part of the list is made up of websites we built ourselves and are still responsible for, from design to server. The rest are websites their owners have entrusted to us — people selling their own website, with their own team that still maintains it. Every listing states clearly who is behind it, and the link to the website itself is always there, so you can see it live before you decide anything. You can buy directly from the owner, or with our help with the negotiation and the paperwork — whichever suits you better. Either way, we are here to guide you through the process.

What the price of an established website depends on

The price of an established website depends on several things: how old it is, how many visits it gets a month, whether it already earns money, and how much effort has gone into the design and content. Then there are the technical details you cannot see at first glance — code quality, loading speed, tidy content — which later make the difference between a website that only looks good and one that really does its job. That is why prices are not flat rates — every website has its own story, and its own price. When you open a website’s detail page, you will find enough data there to judge whether it fits your budget and your plan, before you even send the first message.

Buying, step by step

Once you have chosen a website, get in touch with us or with the owner directly. We go through the history, features and price, agree on all the details, and then comes the best part: the website becomes yours. Some buyers choose a turnkey website, with all the access they need to run it entirely on their own; others prefer to leave the technical side to the team that already knows the website, while they focus on the business. Both roads lead to the same place — a website that works for you, not the other way round.

Filter the list above by website type, or type what you are looking for into the search box at the top of the page. Have a question before you decide? Get in touch. And if you have a website you would like to sell, tell us — we will gladly add it to the list.
